Duration of lessons ½ hr - 1 hr
We encourage private tuition here
at Chateau de Laumiere. The emphasis is on fun and learning
at your own speed.
We have a wide variety of horses for absolute beginners through
to horses which have competed in all 3 disciplines. If you do
not want to ride alone, semi-private lessons (2 or 3 people)
are available. |

Children are taught at first for ½ hr and for their safety
are on the lead rein.
Any pupil can benefit from a ½ hr lunge lesson either to help
with building confidence or to improve balance and position.
Lessons are available for flatwork, jumping and cross country.
If school riding holds no appeal you can (after initial assessment)
have a lesson whilst hacking out. |
Groundwork lessons:
Improve your confidence and understanding of out 4 legged friends
1/ Lessons in join up – a superb way to improve your confidence
being around horses and build a better understanding of how
they think and be able to interact more with them.
2/ Lessons in lungeing and long reining - good introduction
work for horses before breaking or driving.
3/ Stable management – improve your horse care skills. Learn
about daily horse care / nutrition and sick nursing. |
